Twenty

AGPLv3

A CRM that does not hold your pipeline hostage.

Practice led by Leo Nakamura, Principal Consultant, CRM

What Twenty is

Twenty is a modern open-source CRM — contacts, companies, opportunities, pipelines and activity, with a customisable data model and a GraphQL API. It is the youngest platform we deploy, and the one we are most direct about the maturity of.

Who it suits

  • Organisations whose CRM bill has grown faster than their sales team
  • Anyone who has discovered that exporting their pipeline from an incumbent CRM is deliberately awkward
  • Teams who want their customer data joined to their operational data without a paid integration tier
  • Businesses with a straightforward sales process and no appetite for administering a heavyweight CRM

And who it does not

Twenty is genuinely younger than the alternatives. If you depend on a deep marketing-automation suite, native CPQ, or a large app marketplace, it is not there yet. We would rather lose the work than deploy it into a team that needs those things.

What we do with it

Our Twenty work

Configuration is the project. The install is an afternoon.

Deployment and data modelling

Objects, fields, relationships and pipeline stages shaped to how you actually sell, rather than to a default model you then spend six months working around.

Import from your incumbent

Contacts, companies, opportunities, notes and activity history brought across from Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive or a spreadsheet, with a reconciliation report.

GraphQL integration

Twenty exposes a full GraphQL API. We use it to join your CRM to the systems that already hold the truth — your ERP, your billing, your support desk — so nobody is retyping anything.

Reporting that joins up

Because the data is in your own PostgreSQL, pipeline reporting can sit alongside financial and operational reporting rather than in a separate walled garden.

Shape of the work

How an engagement runs

  1. Process and model

How you sell, translated into objects and stages.

  2. Deploy

    Environments, identity, backups.

  3. Import

    Historic pipeline and activity, reconciled.

  4. Integrate

GraphQL wiring to the systems of record.

  5. Adopt

Training, and a check-in at thirty days.

What it connects to

  • ERPNext and other ERP systems
  • Email and calendar sync
  • GraphQL API for anything bespoke
  • Webhooks into Mattermost
  • PostgreSQL for direct reporting
  • SSO through OIDC

The honest bit

Twenty is the newest project on this list and it is moving quickly, which cuts both ways: features arrive at a good pace, and occasionally something changes shape between major versions. We deploy the current stable release, we test upgrades in a non-production environment first, and we are candid at the scoping call about which parts of your requirement sit on solid ground and which are riding the roadmap.
